Aquabotz: Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles

Building upon the Build-a-Buoy program, students are introduced to underwater robotics using remote sensing to learn about buoyancy and water quality. Using PVC, an underwater camera, a tether, and a control box (all of which are provided) students are challenged to build and redesign the Aquabotz until they are buoyant enough to float to recovery and sink to the bottom in order to explore the river or bay bottom.
